At Excel Techno School, Guruvayanakere, we believe that learning how to learn is as important as what to learn. Our scholastic programmes are designed in alignment with the CBSE framework, focusing on competency-based education, conceptual clarity, and holistic development.

Foundational Years Programme

Up to Grade 2

The foundational stage is crucial in shaping a child's learning journey. At Excel Techno School, we follow a child-centric approach based on play, activity, and inquiry-based learning, in line with CBSE and NEP guidelines.

The curriculum focuses on building strong literacy and numeracy skills while nurturing curiosity and creativity. Learning experiences include storytelling, music, art, puppetry, games, and hands-on activities that enhance communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and mathematical thinking.

Preparatory Years Programme

Inquiry & competency-based

The preparatory stage builds on foundational learning through an inquiry-driven and competency-based approach. Students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and connect concepts to real-life situations across Languages, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.

Our pedagogy integrates best educational practices to create an engaging and meaningful learning experience. Assessment is continuous and comprehensive, focusing on learning for, as, and of learning, in alignment with CBSE learning outcomes.

This stage strengthens conceptual understanding, problem-solving abilities, and independent thinking, preparing students for more advanced learning.

Grades 6 to 8

Middle Years Programme

Foundation programme focus

In the Middle Years, students are introduced to more abstract concepts with a strong emphasis on experiential and interdisciplinary learning. The curriculum deepens subject knowledge while encouraging connections across disciplines.
